Alzheimer's disease
Throughout our lives, we are constantly in risk of contract a disease, because we are alive, and because we, like human beings, are vulnerable. Nevertheless, with the years we are more and more in risk, so, when we are older, and we can see it in our familiar history, it's more probably contract a disease. In fact, some diseases just arrive in the old age.
Not for nothing people says "Teme a la vejez, pues nunca viene sola", because the people not die because their years, if not because some diseases that get worse to us, that transform us in other persons, and in occasions, it makes us forget ourselves.
One of this diseases, and one of the most "painful" and feared, are the "Alzheimer".
Body
"Alzheimer'disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest tasks" (National Institute on Aging). Alzheimer is a disease that appear mostly in the old people and affect their memory. This disease don't have clear symptons and for that it's difficult to diagnose and difficult to treat, but are some signs that help us to notice and act about alzheimer's disease. Some of them are: changes of memory that difficulty the quotidian life, difficulty for plan and solve problems, desorientation, changes in the humor and the personality, etc.
In other words, Alzheimer's disease means that the person affected not just lost their memory, if not they lose everything that makes them who they are, until to forget everything, even how to breathe. For that we can say (on the contrary to other illness) that is not only a painful disease, if not also a difficult disease to cope for the affected person, but also for their family members.
Currently, it doesn't exist a cure for alzheimer's disease, but exist some medicines to help to control or postpone their symptons for a time, especially in the early stages of the disease.
Conclusion
In summary, we can say that the Alzheimer's disease is a degenerative disease in which the person affected lose their memory but not just the memories, if not all the things that a person have to do to survive, to live. Like we say previously, alzheimer is an illness that affect the most to old people and for that, work in this illness and its cure is responsability of all of us, for our future and for humanity future, and their wwl-being.
Like someone say one time, "Las personas mayores son la memoria de un pueblo y maestros de la vida. Cuando una sociedad no cuida a sus ancianos, niega sus propias raíces y simplemente sucumbe, Por ellos, por ti: Recuerda sus olvidos".
Because they lose their memory, but we don't.
